What will I study?

How can I progress?
A BTEC National Diploma prepares students for employment and provides a good grounding to go onto a more advanced course such as a Foundation degree or BA (Hons) Degree in one of the following subject or career areas; *Visual Merchandising & Promotional Design, *Interior Design, *Exhibition Design, *Theatre Set Design, *Architecture, *Retail Design/ Management, *3D Design, *Visual Communications.

What will I need to qualify for this course?
In order to qualify for this course students will need; *A BTEC First Certificate or Diploma in a related subject (at least a merit) or, *A First Diploma in a related subject (must achieve at least a merit) or, *At least four GCSEs at grades A*-C, which may include Art, Textiles, 3D Design, Design Technology.

Course Structure
In order to gain a full BTEC National Diploma in 3D Design these units will be studied; *Visual Merchandising and Display Design, *Retail, Commercial and Domestic Interior Design, *Exhibition Design, *Corporate Identity. During the two years students will develop their creative skills and compile a competent design portfolio that will evidence a range and variety of skill base using the following design programmes; *Adobe Illustrator, *Adobe Photoshop, *AutoCAD, *Sketch-up. As well as learning about the employment area chosen, students develop the skills needed to start or progress a career.
