About this course
An upper second-class honours degree or international equivalent, usually in an appropriate subject or subjects: Theology or Religious Studies, or Philosophy. Applicants with degrees in other subjects will be considered on their own merit.

MA in Buddhist Studies
Mode: part-time
The MA in Buddhist Studies is taught within the Centre for Buddhist Studies (consisting of a research group of staff and associated members) in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies. The University has an excellent collection of books on Buddhism, including texts in Pali, Sanskrit, Chinese and Tibetan. The MA offers you the opportunity for a detailed study of Buddhism, in Theravada, East Asian and Indo-Tibetan forms and includes a compulsory linguistic element.
