- Knowing who we are speaking to: audience analysis
- Building rapport and empathy with your target audience
- Barriers to communicating confidently
- Identifying the barriers that can "disable" us
- Understanding the impact we can have on others
- Using words that have impact, expressing commitment and passion, speaking assertively, reducing jargon, and moderating the information flow to avoid "waffle".
- Enhancing listening, questioning and summarising techniques
- Giving feedback constructively and confidently
- Handling difficult people and situations well
- Speaking confidently at meetings and presentations
- Strategies for influencing others and getting our message across
