About the course Gain the up-to-date skills and knowledge required for a career in constructing the buildings of tomorrow. Alternative energy sources are a major consideration in today’s construction industry: look closely at how buildings are constructed to make them more energy-efficient, conserving finite resources like fossil fuels. This course considers both a building’s structure and the systems that can be installed inside. Bedford College’s excellent facilities give you the opportunity to get hands-on experience with many of the most up-to-date alternative fuel systems, including solar domestic hot water heating systems, ground source heat pumps and photovoltaic systems.
