Subject to validation This specialist HND in Business (Accounting) will put an emphasis on applied learning, developing skills and applying these within the workplace. In acknowledgement of the benefits and skills gained on this new specialist pathway, a number of professional bodies have awarded accreditation. These currently include the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Information has been offered that indicates additional bodies are also in discussion to follow suit.This course follows a study path with a variety of accounting modules which concentrate on the acquisition of practical skills designed to equip you for a role in today’s fast changing accounting professions. An accounting professional should understand business as a whole and successful financial analysis and detailed advice and guidance stems from this overall knowledge. To facilitate the development of your all around skills you will study selected units from a wide variety of business areas which may include human resources, marketing and business planning/strategies.

About this course

You must have at least 160 UCAS points gained from A Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma and a GCSE grade C or above in both maths and English. Mature students will be considered on merit.
