About this course
-An undergraduate degree in any subject and at least three years' work experience.
-You'll need a high standard of English to take the course. If your undergraduate degree was not taught in English, you´ll need IELTS 7.0 with no component below 6.
If you are unable to sit for the IELTS, you must take TOEFL. Our minimum requirement is 600 with 4.5 in written English or 260 in the computer-based test with an essay rating of 5. Contact one of the TOEFL centres for details of registration dates.
Some candidates will be required to sit the GMAT. Our guideline minimum score is 600.

Teaching Sessions
These are lively and varied including interactive lectures, discussions, business simulations/games, business case analyses, problem analyses, student presentations, talks by visiting speakers and business visits.
Group Exercises
The Programme offers a range of group exercises designed to identify strengths and skills. Many of these are located in the stunning scenery of the Peak District National Park.
Project Work
Our MBA is flexible allowing you to focus on your own strengths and interests. Projects can be research focused exploring ideas and techniques or practice-based which means you can explore and solve a specific problem in a real organisation.
Learning Support
Each module is supported by websites, online learning materials and detailed handouts. You have access to University libraries, computers and specialist careers advice. The Information Commons is open 24/7 and has over 500 PCs and Wi-Fi throughout.

A Staff-Student Group provides support and enables students the opportunity to discuss both academic and non-academic matters.
Personal Tutor
Your personal tutor is always on hand to advise you on anything from academic matters of personal issues. If he or she can´t help directly, they will refer you to an appropriate professional on campus.

Assessment
The overall balance is two thirds coursework assignments and one third exams.
The MBA programme at the University of Sheffield has been designed to provide high-quality education in general management, with the emphasis on understanding and managing complex organisations. It can broaden your experience in a particular management field or be the chance for you to develop new business knowledge and skills, opening up a wider range of job opportunities, or enabling a career change.
The Sheffield MBA is a one year programme, running from September to September. Teaching consists of an Introduction week and two 15-week semesters, from late September to the following June. Students must take 10 core modules and 3 electives.
