A choice of routes
There are two routes to gaining the Bristol MBA. Studying full-time you can complete your MBA in 12 months working in a diverse international group of students. It minimises time spent away from the workplace and is delivered in four day blocks during the week.

Core modules
The core modules of the MBA equip you with the skills, insight and experience needed to thrive and excel in business.
Becoming a specialist
Building on the expertise developed in the six core modules, you choose two electives from a wide range, write a dissertation and add additional courses as required. In this way, you build an MBA designed around your career, your organisation and your future.
The programme offers full-time students the flexibility of returning to work after the taught part of the programme and conducting a collaborative dissertation with an organisation.
We offer a comprehensive professional development programme focused on developing you academically and as a manager, a leader and a member of the business community. Throughout the course of your MBA, we offer specialist conferences on academic skills and career development with supporting speakers on these topics. You will also take part in learning action sets where you can explore issues connected to the course, your personal and career development and your work.
Based on student needs, we also develop sessions on self-leadership, management and leadership skills such as presentation skills, negotiation skills, dealing with conflict and interviewing.
Teaching and learning
Traditional lectures will only be one part of your course. You'll also learn through syndicate work, group and individual presentations and discussion, student-led seminar groups, analysis and application of case studies as well as experiential learning and simulations including role-plays. Guest speakers from industry and professional bodies also regularly contribute to the MBA programme. These innovative methods create an environment that is enjoyable, varied and hugely effective.
Assessment
Assessment is by a mixture of work-based assignments (supervised mini projects), examinations, presentations/vivas and the dissertation.
