This course is suitable for you if you wish to work in an administrative support role in either private and public sector organisations. As part of the course you will be required to work in the college `Real Working Environment’ carrying out `live’ work on behalf of the college, and attend a work experience placement. Text processing qualifications will be offered to enhance employment. You will visit a number of business institutions to gain an understanding of business environments.

Course programme
Entry Requirements
You will need 4 GCSEs at a minimum Grade D one of which should be maths or English or a level 1 diploma at merit or distinction grade.
Delivery and Assessment
You will be allocated an Assessor who will observe you carrying out office tasks and produce a portfolio of evidence. You will also be observed at your work placement. Other internal assessments and OCR external examinations will be completed for the Workskills and Text Processing qualifications.
Progression
After the course you can progress to the Level 3 Business Administration or CILEX Legal Secretaries Certificate. Good administration skills are valued in all industries and your choice of jobs will be wide and varied.
