This programme aims to equip our students with additional knowledge, skills and attitudes that they would need in order to enter a successful career in business, and specifically financial management, accounting and banking. It is also relevant to students with experience who wish to switch from their current employment to a different job type. It aims to equip students with both the practical skills that enhance employability in the finance and accounting business sectors and the knowledge and broader cognitive, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills that provide the foundation for lifelong learning. There are a number of specialisms which students can choose from: FdA Business Administration (IT Management). FdA Business Administration (Accounting & Finance). FdA Business Administration (Marketing). The aims of the programme are: Focus in equipping our students with skills in three important areas of personal development: interpersonal skills, general management skills and financial skills. Enhance the employability of our students in very real pragmatic terms. The programme incorporates real projects with real companies, stock trader simulations and practice with finance and accounting software as is used in the corporate context. Provide option to progress/top up to a full honours degree in BA Business Administration or BA with Accounting in Finance or BA with Marketing through an additional year of study (Year 3) at the University of Greenwich..

Course programme
Assessment The programme is taught using a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, case studies and guest speakers from the industry. Courses have a strong commercial orientation, as well as academic rigour. Students are assessed through assignments, examinations and presentations. Careers Graduates may pursue employment in accounting and finance departments, the financial services sector, the public sector and non profit- making organisations, small business management and business start-up.
