This is an exciting vocational qualification which allows students to study business theories and concepts and apply them to real organisations and situations. It is an ideal preparation for a career in business or marketing, and for progression to Higher Education.

What does the course involve?
This course provides students with the knowledge, skills and experience that employers and Universities demand. It can be studied as part of the Marketing Academy and is the central qualification for Marketing Academy students.

What will I study?
You will study 18 units, that will be based on business. The course is practical and is assignment-based for all asessment. These units include Introduction to Marketing, Marketing Research, Advertising Production, Finance, External Environment, Internet Marketing, Law, Exploring Business Activity, Human Resource Management and Public Relations.

There are a variety of different areas within the course including marketing, finance, law, operations, HR, IT, E-Business and internet marketing.

Do I need to have good ICT skills?
You need to have experience on Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, but a lot of help will be given to you if you're not sure.

Is this course equivalent to an A level course?
Yes. This qualification is equilvalent to 3 A levels.
