GCSEs in Mathematics and English at grade C or above; 120 UCAS tariff points; BTEC National; ACCESS to Higher Education certificate or equivalent. Mature students without formal qualifications will also be considered.

This course is ideal for those looking for a practical higher education course which will equip you for progression to a variety of careers.

What will I be learning?

You will study a number of core modules with pathways in Year one and Year two to incorporate Busines or Business with ICT.

Business with ICT pathway: analysis and design; multimedia; data design and databases.

How will I learn?

Teaching and learning methods include lectures, tutorials, practical workshops and presentations. The programme is based on student-centred learning through which students can develop a full approach to and take responsibility for their own learning. Throughout the course, students receive tuition and guidance from module leaders and personal tutors will provide regular individual tutorials and advise on progress and learning strategies. There will also be a variety of assessments throughout the course which will include: group and individual presentations; essays; case studies; reports and examinations.

What else might I want to know?

You will have the opportunity to work with local employers and to participate in activities designed to enhance your employability skills. You will work with students from other foundation degrees on projects with local businesses and community groups.

What can I do afterwards?

Subject to final approval, you progress to the third year of a BA (Hons) in Business Administration; Year three of the BSc Multimedia in Computing is subject to application/interview
