Description
The BTEC First Diploma combines practical work-related skills with an understanding of todays business practices. You will learn by completing assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.

1 year full time

What will I study?
The course will cover a range of business topics that include finance, e business, marketing and business enterprise. You will also learn functional skills which are English, Maths and ICT as required.

How will I learn?
You will learn in state-of-the-art classrooms and Learning Clusters using hi-spec equipment, with access to the latest online learning materials delivered using Smartboards. This stimulating environment offers an exciting and challenging approach to learning which is adopted throughout the course, and includes directed research linked to practical skill-based sessions, seminars and tutorials.



How will I be assessed?

All units are internally assessed with one unit externally checked. Grades awarded are Pass, Merit or Distinction. The IT qualification is internally assessed.

BTEC National Diploma (Business). Business related careers e.g. administration, customer service, IT, personnel, sales or becoming self-employed.
