Who is the course for?
The course is for candidates who primarily work in a production environment.

What is the course about?
The candidate is required to complete all 5 mandatory units plus 1 additional optional unit:
Mandatory
* Complying with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements
*Contributing to effective team working
* Applying workplace organisation techniques
* Applying continuous improvement techniques (Kaizen)
* Creating visual management systems

Optional
* Analysing and selecting parts for improvement
* Carrying out lead time analysis
* Applying set-up reductions techniques
* Applying Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
* Applying problem solving techniques
* Carrying out Statistical Process Control procedures (SPC)
* Applying flow process analysis
* Carrying out potential Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
* Carrying out Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
* Carrying out mistake / error proofing (Poka Yoke)
* Creating standard operating procedures

Start Date: Throughout the year.

How will I be assessed?
A Riverside College Halton assessor visits your place of work on a regular basis to support and conduct work based assessments.
LSC funded subject to status and locality with course fees of 550.

What opportunities will this lead to?
On successful completion of this qualification candidates can move onto Business Improvement Techniques Level 3.
