Introduction:
Companies now seek business professionals who are comfortable using a range of IT applications, and can communicate confidently with their IT colleagues. Holders of our Business Information Systems qualifications have a firm grounding in key IT and business skills that enable them to build bridges between technology and business practice.

Certificate

The four compulsory subjects are:

1. Introduction to the World of Computers 2. IT Applications and Skills 3. Introduction to Business 4. Introduction to Accounting

Diploma Part 1

The three compulsory papers are:

1. Computer Applications in Business & Finance 2. Computer Fundamentals 3. Business Communication

Students must also pass one of the following subjects:

4. Organisational Behaviour (Management Pathway) 5. Accounting (Finance Pathway)

Diploma Part 2

The four compulsory papers are:

1. Networks and Distributed Systems 2. Principles of Programming 3. Quantitative Methods 4. Systems Analysis

Students must also pass one of the following subjects:

5.Human Resource Management (Management Pathway) 6. Managerial Accounting (Finance Pathway)

Advanced Diploma

The four compulsory papers are:

1. Contemporary Application Development Methods 2. Internet Systems Development 3. Managing Systems Change 4. Relational Database Applications in Business

Students must also pass one of the following subjects:

5. Strategic Human Resource Management (Management Pathway) 6. Corporate Finance (Finance Pathway)

Teaching Methods:
A mixture of lectures, seminars, tutorials and workshops are used. There are group based assessment activities as well as more traditional reports, essays and examinations. Guest speakers and educational visits will add variety and interest to the course.

Please Note that:
1) You are required to register at least in three subjects
2) 50% of the Tuition Fees will be charged for failed, deferred or non-attempted Subjects/term.
3) The College reserve the right to change the tuition fees at any time.

Examinations are held twice a year, June & December
