Course programme

The course consists of the following units:

  • Module 1: Business Activity and the Changing Environment
  • Module 2: Human Resources (HR)
  • Module 3: Accounting and Finance
  • Module 4: Production
  • Module 5: Marketing

The Syllabus:

The Business Studies IGCSE home study course is designed to prepare students for the Edexcel IGCSE in Business (4BS1) for examinations in May/June 2020 or later years. Assessment is by two written papers (50% each).

Examinations:

Exam Paper 1 - Investigating small businesses (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) is 50% of the total marks. The exam consists of four compulsory questions each worth 20 marks. The sub-questions are a mixture of multiple-choice, short-answer, data-response and open-ended questions.

Exam Paper 2 - Investigating large businesses (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) is 50% of the total marks. The exam consists of four compulsory questions each worth 20 marks. The sub-questions are a mixture of multiple-choice, short-answer, data-response and open-ended questions.
