Study Business with Human Resource Management Extended with a foundation year which prepares you for degree-level study. If you're interested in business management and the role people play in successful businesses, this rewarding human resources (HR) degree is for you. Course structure It begins with a foundation year that will give you a solid grounding from which to progress to degree-level study. You will gain a thorough introduction to business and an understanding of ethics, enterprise and leadership. The degree provides you with all the academic skills you need to succeed as well as a solid grounding in the strategic aspects of business and management. You will also study human resources and recruitment theory and techniques. After your first year, you will study the same courses as those in our three-year BA Hons Business with Human Resource Management programme. You will learn how to develop and manage businesses and individuals, taking into account emerging issues such as sustainability, financial crisis and technological innovation.     Work placementYou can gain the insight and practical skills that employers seek in graduates. Our Employability Office will assist you in securing a placement before the sandwich year. Working with over 200 companies our team also offer a range of mentoring schemes and networking opportunities.
    The sandwich year (work placement) will appear as a 30 credit course on your Diploma if completed successfully.
    InternshipIn addition to a placement, you can also do internships during your summer breaks. These will appear on your graduate diploma, showcasing your experience to employers.
