Writing external letters: An examination of different types of letters and corresponding styles e.g. letters of complaint, letters that sell and letters than inform.
Writing Standard Letters: Developing skills in writing standard letters that don't sound standard.
E-mails and faxes: Examining how to avoid presenting the wrong image from being too casual in e- mails and faxes. Learning how to gain what you need from effectively constructing e-mails.
Report Writing: This module takes participants through a model for constructing effective reports. It considers a range of topics including: knowing your audience, setting objectives, report writing conventions and planning your writing.
Taking notes and minutes: This module reviews different style of minutes and notes that can be used to record meetings and some of the tools and techniques to improve on quality.
Spelling punctuation and grammar: This module examines some of the common mistakes made in the construction of written material in the area of the good use of language and grammar. It is an opportunity for participants to share any particular areas of difficulty they have in this area and work them through.
