CACHE Approved Childcare Training
ABC Medical Services are a CACHE approved Childcare Training Provider
(Centre No. 1573.000). We can offer the following courses for all those
who wish to become Childcare Practitioners.
CACHE Introduction
to Childcare Practice (ICP), Home Based.
This course is run
over 12hrs. There are five units that make up the Diploma in Home-Based
Childcare and this is the first of those. Topics covered on the course for
this first unit include: Establishing a safe and healthy childcare
environment in a home-based setting, routines for home-based childcare,
providing play, managing behaviour, child protection and starting a
home-based childcare service.
Method of assessment: Candidates will be
assessed through a multiple choice question paper set by CACHE and set on
days specified by the award.
On completion of this course the
certificate holder will be able to gain registration with OFSTED as a
Childminder. You will also be required to complete the 12hr Paediatric
First Aid Course.
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home Based Childcare
As
exciting new joint initiative qualification between CACHE and the National
Childminding Association. A development of the Certificate in Childminding
Practice, this re-accreditation incorporates new initatives such as the
Common Core and the new National Occupational Standards.
The Diploma is
made up of 5 Units and includes Unit 1 - Introducing Childcare Practice.
This is a 'stand-alone' unit, which has been updated to meet specific
statutory requirements for home-based childcare practitioners seeking
childminding registration with OFSTED and home-based childcarer approval.
Unit
2 - 5 cover a wide range of exciting topics ranging from child
observation, planning and assessment, working in partnership with parents,
child development, marketing, policy writing and child protection.
Undertaking
this course will support home - based childcare practitioners to offer a
cohesive, effective childcare service for families seeking home - based
childcare and education for their children.
