About this course

In order to qualify for this course students must; *Be at least 18 years old, *Have sufficient general education to undertake a level 2 qualification eg have achieved a GCSE or equivalent at grade D or above (including English Language), *Be working in a school in a paid, voluntary or placement capacity at Foundation Stage or Key Stage 1 + 2 for a minimum of 60 hours per unit.

Who may be interested in completing this award?... *An existing child care worker who wants to move into school settings e.g. mature people already working in schools assisting teaching staff on a paid or voluntary basis. *A worker new to the child care and education sector and wants to work with children at the Foundation Stage or Key Stage 1 + 2. *An existing teaching assistant who wants to update their knowledge and skills.

How can I progress?
Learners have the opportunity to progress onto the CACHE Certificate in Teaching Assistant (Level 3).

What will I need to qualify for this course?
