CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education Entry Requirements

• A minimum of 4 GCSEs at C or above including English Language and Maths or Science or equivalent OR
• A BTEC First Diploma in Health and Social Care with a satisfactory reference and equivalent English and Maths or Science OR
• A CACHE Level 2 Diploma in Child Care and Education with a satisfactory reference and equivalent English and Maths or Science OR
• A relevant Level 2 qualification with equivalent English and Maths or Science.

Entry is subject to a successful interview.

You will need a clean CRB check.

Content
You will study three days per week in college covering a range of topics including:

Development from conception to age 16years, Supporting Children,Keeping Children Safe, The Principles Underpinning the Role of the Practitioner, Working with Children, Promoting a Healthy Environment for Children, Play and Learning in Children's Education, Caring for Children's Development of Professional Skills within Children's Education and a further range of optional units.

Progression
This course will prepare you for entry to employment using your Level three qualification in a variety of settings including nursery schools, primary schools or you can progress to higher level study at university.

Work Experience
Two days per week to gain experience from birth to 7 years 11 months in a variety of settings.
