The cornerstone of business efficiency
Energy regulation and legislation is forcing businesses to look at how they use and manage energy.
The United Kingdom has brought in a legally binding commitment to reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions by 80% by 2050. The impact on business is already being felt with regulation such as the Carbon Reduction Commitment.
Measuring your Carbon Footprint is a key tool that a business can adopt to understand its energy consumption and associated emissions. It will assist in identifying opportunities to reduce energy consumption, thus reducing the organisations environmental impact and cutting costs at the same time.
As larger organisations hands are forced by regulation, measuring and reducing your Carbon Footprint will soon become a reality for smaller and medium size enterprises as well either through direct regulation or through the supply chain.
