Cardiology, MSc / PgDip / PgCert

This course is designed for Cardiology medical practitioners who wish to enhance their knowledge and skills in Cardiology. The teaching team, which includes a number of internationally renowned speakers and consultant cardiologists, has specialist knowledge and research interests in the range of subject areas offered. The course consists of lectures, seminars and journal clubs, which will be delivered by the University's Institute of Medical Sciences, based on the Medway campus (30 minutes from London). Single accommodation is available on the campus. Observation of clinical procedures and imaging modalities will take place at a major London teaching hospital during three separate periods of one week. The MSc Cardiology is flexible, can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis and includes the option to exit with a Postgraduate Diploma (PgD) or Postgraduate Certificate (PgC). You can also undertake single modules as stand-alone elements. The full-time course comprises six taught PgD modules (each module carries 20 M level credits) that are intended to be studied in the first two terms, followed by a three module dissertation (60 M level credits). Students are normally expected to complete the PgD aspects of the course in nine months followed by the Research Approaches and Methods (RAM) module and the Dissertation/Project.
