Care - Childcare - Children & Young People's Workforce (Level 2) Apprenticeship

In order to achieve a full Apprenticeship you must successfully complete the different parts of the framework over 12 months. This consists of sector related industry qualifications Children’s and young people’s workforce certificate Functional Skills qualifications: Level 1 Functional Skill in English Level 1 Functional Skill in Maths Level 1 Functional Skill in ICT + Employment Rights and Responsibilities + Personal Learning and Thinking Skills You will learn about all aspects of children's care and education through theory lessons in your setting with your college assessor. The units you will study include: Introduction to communication Introduction to equality and inclusion Safeguard the welfare of children and young people Support positive behaviour Support children and young people at meal or snack times and many others. Additionally you will have the opportunity to develop your functional skills in English, Maths and ICT as these are important skills needed in the workplace.
