Entry Requirements

3 GCSEs (grade d-G) usally including English Language. Excellent references and completion of basic skills assessment and essay. Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)* enhanced check.


Career Opportunities

This Foundation Award is listed on the QCA National Framework of Qualifications and is recognised as a useful starting point for a career in caring for children. The level 1 course is not recognised for employment, but instead leads to further study.


Course Progression

3 GCSEs (grades D-G), usually including English Language at grade D and an interview. A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)* check is also required.


* Please note there is a charge of £44 for a DBS check.

Our term starts the week commencing 5th September 2016,
however you may have different start dates depending on the course.
You will receive the details of your first day over the summer period,
