A bench joiner will be required to work with large quantities of diverse materials and interpret a range of information sources including written specifications and technical drawings. Therefore, during the selection process you will be required to undertake an initial assessment in Numeracy and an Initial Assessment in Literacy.

Level 2 Green Lane Campus/ Work Place The length of the course is between 18 and 24 months.

Bench Joinery is one of the most recognised construction disciplines. Bench joiners are in demand and therefore employment opportunities are good.

As a bench joiner you will mainly be working in a workshop and you may be required to occasionally go out onto site.
You will need to be able to work well as part of a team, be reliable, honest and have a good work ethic. Also you must be prepared to be flexible in your working arrangements.
