This course is suitable for those already working in the Construction Industry or wishing to enter it, having completed a suitable level 2 programme (e.g. Level 2 Construction Diploma or Intermediate Construction Award).
The Level 3 Diploma expands the content of the Level 2 Diploma, further developing your knowledge and skills in College rather than in a working environment.

Course programme
You will learn by a series of extended practical exercises in well-equipped workshops, backed up by relevant classroom theory. You will cover the following units: Carrry out second fixing Information, quantities and communicating with others Building methods and construction technology Erect complex structural carcassing components Maintain non-structural and structural components Set up and use fixed and transportable machinery Construct a Traditional Hipped/Valley Roof With Dormer & Trimming To Chimney You also study Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English, or resit a GCSE, if required. The programme looks within the supervisory roles of construction, providing an insight into the management roles. Students will look at the planning and development of the construction process. This course is delivered at Keighley College. Practical sessions delivered within purpose built workshops (both Site and Bench) providing a simulated working experience. You need to have successfully completed a Level 2 Site Carpentry and Joinery qualification (for example, Level 2 Construction Diploma). You can progress on to an apprenticeship, if you have appropriate employment, offered at Leeds City College (Keighley Campus) If you are aged 19 or over and considering enrolling on a further education course at Level 3 or above, you may be entitled to an Advanced Learner Loan to help with course fees.Additional information
