About this course
Although there are no formal entry requirements for this course, you must be aged 19 or over and have a successful College interview with the Retail, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism staff.

Introduction:
This is a pre-Entry level course which provides underpinning knowledge in catering, and enhances your independent living skills whilst improving basic skills in Mathematics, English and Information Technology.
Study Mode & Location:
This one year Part-Time+ course will be held at Preston College, St Vincent`s Road, Preston, PR2 8UR.
Course Content:

- Mathematics.
- Craft.

- Information Technology.
- Independent Living Skills (you may have to travel independently on a regular basis).
Assessment:
During this course you will complete portfolios of evidence for each subject you study. Assessment will be on-going throughout the year.
Careers & Progression Opportunities:
Successful completion of this course may allow you to progress to a second year course of study.
Additional Costs:
You will have to pay a nominal weekly charge of £1 as a contribution towards food costs. You will also need to purchase:
- an A4 lever arch file.
- a pack of ten dividers.
- plastic wallets.
How To Apply
You will need to complete a Further Education Application Form. These will be available from mid-May.
Many courses have limited places so please return your application form as soon as possible. Following acceptance of your application, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
Part-Time+ Course Benefits
