- Cognitions - (Identifying thoughts or images that the client may not be aware of, along with ways of dealing with problem cognitions)
- Cognitive Techniques - (This looks at the different cognitive exercises used within CBT and includes diary keeping and worksheets)
- Distraction Methods
- Behavioural Techniques
- Physical Techniques
- Assumptions and Beliefs
- The Socratic Method - (This is a specialised form of 'open questioning' used by the client to access their own subconscious knowledge on a presenting issue or coping strategy)
- Establishing Rapport and Boundaries - (Building the therapist/client working relationship)
- Anxiety, Anger, Depression, Stress, Self Esteem, Alcohol & Drug Addiction, Eating Disorders.
- Consultation - (Discussing the entire Consultation process used with CBT addressing the formatting of paperwork used to obtain a working case history)
- Formulation - (The process that the therapist uses to build/formulate a personal picture that helps both client and therapist to understand the client's presenting issue. Including the benefits of making a formulation, the common core features, and questions to ask to build the formulation)

The Course Fees include - Question papers at the end of each lesson and final exam paper at the end of the course. Accredited practitioner level Diploma. Plus real life 'case study' from a Professional CBT Practitioner.
Students obtaining 80% average pass marks will be awarded an accredited SNHS Diploma entitling them to practise.
Fees:
Tutored: single payment of £295 or £95 deposit followed by 4 monthly payments of £50
Self-Study: single payment of £135 or £35 deposit followed by 4 monthly payments of £25
