The programme
Our aim is to provoke discussion and free-thinking, as well as to present some didactic teaching. Topics on the programme are likely to include:

• Where aeromedical retrieval and transport is now - an international update
• Disaster response: mass casualty evacuation
• The future of education in aeromedical retrieval and transport
• What's new in clinical guidelines
• International Repatriation Forum: Tackling the problems of overseas clinics
• Helicopter Air Ambulance Forum: The JAA views on helicopter air ambulances and their crew

Revision of important and basic concepts will also feature:

• Revision and update of transport physiology
• Another look at oxygen carriage - in molecules and in cylinders
• Medicolegal issues of current interest

We intend to revisit some popular and important topics for in-depth study:

• Clinical and logistic case studies
• Equipment update - The new, the neat, the small and the reliable

We also hope to provide a guest presentation from an international aeromedical organisation, a forum for discussion of the delegate's views on the future of tertiary and quaternary aeromedical practice.

The final day is an optional programme for those who would like a choice of external visits. These may include, depending on the wishes of the delegates who register:

• A fixed wing air ambulance organisation
• A helicopter emergency air ambulance organisation
• MedAire (remote medical supervision) in Farnborough
• A search and rescue unit (RAF Waddington) or Coastguard (Lee-on-Solent)

Participants should note that operational difficulties beyond the control of the CCAT course may lead to cancellations or changes in the visits programme.

Accreditation
Application for the course to be recognised for CPD/CME credit points has been made. It will be accredited and recognised towards completion of the nascent Diploma of Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport.

Cost
The total cost will pay for all course fees and materials, CPD/CME accreditation (if awarded by the Royal Colleges), the visit(s), accommodation in Cumberland Lodge for two nights, and all meals (including mid-morning and afternoon refreshments), use of Cumberland Lodge recreational facilities and access to the gardens and walks of the Windsor Great Park.
