Course programme

Training in the use of cctv is essential now days and not just to fulfil licensing requirements.

It is essential that all operators have knowledge of the legislation which applies to the use of

cctv including the Data Protection Act, Human Rights Act, and the Regulation of Investigatory

Powers Act.

With over 3.5 million cctv cameras within the united kingdom the role of the cctv operator has

expanded over the years from watching 4 monitors which offered a grainy black & white picture

to control rooms with walls devoted to monitors which in turn have sophisticated alarms alerting an operator to potential problems.

Our level 2 cctv operators training course is for those who are entering the industry and is seen as the minimum requirement by the Security Industry Authority. This training gives the new operator

both instruction in the classroom setting and on a live cctv system. The course syllabus includes

tracking persons and vehicles and identifying suspect packages. Once this four day training course has been attended and passed the student can then applyfor their cctv operator SIA licence. This course is also available in group format delivered at your premises. If you decide that yourstaff do not require an SIA cctv licence but could benefit from cctv training please contact us using the link below.
