Your Course
This course is open to students of all skill levels. There will be an introduction to all of the basic hand building techniques as well as the chance to try throwing. Those with more experience will be offered help and advice as they pursue their own projects. Short demonstrations will be given on particular techniques as questions arise and should prove useful to students of all abilities.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course you will have been given the opportunity to:
· Investigate various making techniques with clay, both hand building and throwing.
· Develop an understanding of the possibilities and limitations of the medium, firing types, decoration and glazing.
Your Tutor
Ian George is a local potter making wheel thrown ceramics. Although the course concentrates on making and decorating, Ian will happily share his experience of developing glazes and building kilns.

Method of payment: Fees for short courses (10 weeks or less) to be paid in full at enrolment and for long courses (12 weeks or more) fees of 50% can be paid at enrolment plus 50% as a cheque. Course places cannot be reserved without receipt of both payments.

Please note that there are no classes during half term Monday 15th - Friday 19th February 2010 unless otherwise stated.
