What is this course about? This is a comprehensive, structured course covering a wide range of ceramic techniques, materials and processes, alongside contextual, design and visual language studies.
Who is this course for? Students who wish to improve both their skills and knowledge of ceramics.
What do I need to get on the course? Level 1 qualification or equivalent
What will I study? The course is made up of 12 units which cover a wide range of ceramic techniques, materials and processes including mould-making, slip-casting, printing and raku underpinned by contextual, design and drawing studies. Regular visits to exhibitions etc.
What qualification will I get? NOCN Diploma in Art and Design
What can I do after the course? You can progress on to a Level 3 course or come to a ceramics workshop
How do I get on the course?
Come in to Centre for Lifelong Learning. Tues 1st â€" Thu 3rd Sept 10am-7pm. Fri 4th Sept 10am-1pm. Mon 7th Sept 10am â€" 7pm.
How much does the course cost? £75 materials charge, payable in instalments. Concessionary students pay a £40 annual registration charge which covers any courses where concessions are available.
