The Certificate in Adult Numeracy measure skills up to the same level as GCSE.

How Do I get a certificate?

Once you have completed your math’s courses, to get a certificate you need to take and pass a short test. There is a test for each certificate.

  • There are 40 multiple choice questions
  • The English tests take 1 hour.
  • The tests are free for eligible learners

You get the results almost immediately so there's no waiting around and you receive your certificate very soon after passing the test.

Preparing for the test.

To be confident of passing, take learndirect's Preparing for Testing course first. It lets you practice the test until you feel ready to tackle the real thing.

Take the test on a computer.

Because learndirect’s tests can be taken online, they are flexible so you can take them at a time that suits you. Our centre provides a relaxed environment in which to complete your test. Each test can be taken on a computer so you can answer all the questions at a touch of a button, you can see how much time you have left and you will get your results much quicker.
