You will be given a level test and a one to one interview to assess if this is the right course for you. If you have already passed the Cambridge First Certificate Exam or have a Skills for Life Level 1 in ESOL you can also be accepted.

About the course:
The advanced course will look at new vocabulary and sophisticated grammatical structures. Following a course book but also with lots of supplementary materials to extend on what is in the course book.
Success Story:
Many of our students who have previously studied at this level have successfully passed the Cambridge Advanced Exam which is an internationally recognised exam.
Course Content:
The course covers the four skills areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking. It also looks at new vocabulary and grammar. Classes are topic based and cover issues that are relevant to life in the UK and the wider world.
Learning Style:
A variety of approaches are used to help you learn as much as possible on the course. Our courses tend to be very communicative and encourage you to actively use the stuctures, vocabulary and topics we cover in class.

You will be asked to buy a course book and a work book
Assessment:
You will be invited in to College to have an assessment and a one to one interview. This will include doing some writing in English, and a multiple choice test followed by a short interview
Progression:
Once you have completed this course you can progress to the Proficiency course, which is the highest level of English. You would also be able to do an IELTS course if you want to go to university.

Ask at reception for an Initial Assessment for English form. You need to complete this form and then we we contact you and invite you in for an interview.
