The study methods include practical workshops and formal classroom sessions, student-centred learning and private study.
Duration :1 day up to 2 years including block assessment
Who the Course is For:
The Certificate in Basic Plumbing Studies is a national designed course and is an introduction into plumbing as a career. The qualification is intended to enhance future employment within the plumbing industry and allows a student to gain the necessary skills required in all aspects of the plumbing as a craft. The course is college based but if candidate holds a position of employment within plumbing industry, would find it beneficial.
Assessment:
Students undertake practical assessment tasks throughout this course, and a 5-day block of attendance from 9am-5pm (between February-July) within their second year, plus online City & Guilds examinations (multiple choice) during their learning programme,
Course Leads To:
Provides excellent training for progression into plumbing NVQ level 2 6089 for those employed within the plumbing industry.
Or RVQ level 3 6129.
