What will I study on the course?
You will study 13 mandatory units with a total value of 31 credits. You will then need to achieve a minimum of 4 credits from the bank of optional units.
VRQs are competency based awards. This means that the activities you carry out with children in the setting will be observed by your assessor, and you will be expected to produce a portfolio of evidence to show your competency.
You do not need any formal qualifications but learners will need to be at least 16 years of age and working, volunteering or on practical placement - it is recommended that 200 hours be spent in a Real Work Environment to gain the experience needed to successfully complete the award.
