The ILM’s Level 5 Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring qualification aims to provide practising managers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform effectively as management coaches or mentors and to gain an awareness and practical ideas of how to successfully introduce coaching into the workplace.
About this course
This powerful and very practical programme uses up-to-the minute research, tools and techniques to develop the twin themes of individual coaching competence and coaching in an organisational context. Explores the management of coaching as well as developing the skills, confidence and competence of those coaching at a managerial level.
Suitable for: HR/ L&D/ OD professionals who regularly coach line managers or are seeking to introduce organisational coaching/ develop a coaching culture; Independent L&D consultants who may be required to coach/ develop coaching practices and programmes; Middle managers who are regularly coaching as part of their everyday management activity.
Entry to this qualification programme is subject to meeting the ILM criteria relating to experience and prior learning.

Lead Tutor, Jane Harders, is a practicing coach and experienced ILM tutor; she spends approximately 50% of her time actively coaching at senior and executive levels, and the remainder of her time developing coaching and leadership practices across a range of organisations and sectors. She works with teams across the UK and Europe and Jane's experience as a coach gives her a recognisable and practical "edge" as a tutor on coaching programmes.
