Description:
This course is designed to give you the knowledge and understanding of the key principles relating to basic calculations and preparation of both weekly and monthly payroll, using computerised routines. It will also familiarise you with completing year end routines. This course is normally studied in conjunction with the IAB Certificate in Manual Payroll.

Level 2 : This level will help you to understand and perform payroll procedures in a computerised environment. You will develop the skills necessary to perform payroll tasks using spreadsheets and commercial payroll software. There is an external examination at the end of the course.

Level 3: This level will help you to develop your understanding of payroll procedures in a computerised environment. You will learn to understand the importance of accuracy and security in performing payroll tasks. There is an external examination at the end of the course.

Progression:
Level 2: Computerised Payroll level 3

Level 3: AAT qualification

Entry Requirements:
Level 2: Basic numeracy, communication and IT skills, and Certificate in Manual Payroll level 2

Level 3: Good numeracy, communication and IT skills, and Certificate in Computerised Payroll level 2 or Manual payroll level 3.

1 evening for 16 weeks 3 hours per evening
