PROHEALTH TRAINING CPCAB Level 3 Counselling Studies Certificate

This Certificate in Counselling Studies qualification is for learners who want to take the next step in training to become a counsellor (having already acquired counselling skills); as well as learn more about counselling theory and agency work. The course is a Level 3 nationally recognised qualification which has an induction session and then runs for 33 weeks. Each session last for 3 hours and has a ½ hour tutorial slot, which can take place before or after the session, depending on the time of day.

The taught hours total 102 with 17 hours of tutorials. Compulsory tutorials will take a study based format related to the course material. Further to this you will need to undertake 2 hours of self study per week, some of which may be via the virtual learning environment. You may request additional tutorials for pastoral support should you be experiencing difficulties of a personal nature. The Certificate in Counselling Studies is validated by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central awarding body (CPCAB).

Proficiency is assessed internally by your course tutor throughout the course and externally by the awarding body. CPCAB and Prohealth Training Centre require that you attend a minimum of 80% of the taught course in order to meet necessary guidelines
