WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
This qualification is for learners who have already acquired some counselling skills and now want to continue their training. It will not teach learners to be counsellors, but it will prepare them to undertake workplace experience as trainee counsellors.
WHAT WILL I STUDY?
The programme consists of 7 units:
The Professional Framework of the Counsellor
The Counselling Relationship
Client Diversity
The Service User-Centred Approach
Personal Awareness in Counselling
Counselling Concepts
Supervision and Self-Reflection
Assessment will be by candidate portfolio and an externally assessed written paper.
WHAT CAN I DO AFTERWARDS?
Successful candidates may progress onto CPCAB's Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling provided that the Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills or its equivalent, is first acquired in addition to CST-L3.
WHAT ARE MY COMMITMENTS?
You will need to attend classes for 35 weeks on Monday evenings from 18.00 21.00.
Additional non-college study time is estimated at 2 hours per week

3t933-09 Course fees 1035 16-18 year olds, 1035(1035) 19 years and over

On successful completion of the course you will achieve the CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
