About this course
Adults (16 years and over). No previous coaching experience required. An interest in and basic knowledge of football is desirable. Candidates are required to show evidence of attendance on The FA's workshop "Child Protection & Best Practice" & hold the FA's "Emergency Aid Certificate" or equivalent.

1st4 Sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football (L1CCF)
Course content
The course consists of 3 units as follows:
Unit 1 - Safe & Ethical Football
Unit 2 - Football Basics
Unit 3 - Delivering Football Coaching Sessions for Young People
Additionality
Students enrolling on a part-time course, are subject to a one-off administration fee of £10 per academic year.
When will I receive my results?
Results will be forwarded on as soon as they are received at the college. Please note that certificates, where awarded, can take up to 4 months to be received at the college before forwarding on to learners.
Assessment
Internal assessment. Comprising of an assessment of candidates understanding of the principles, ethics of their role & the principles & practices of coaching basic football skills to children between the ages of 7 & 16.
Independent assessment comprising:
* An observation of a 20 minute practical coaching session
* Oral questioning on any aspects of the qualification
Progression
Successful completion can lead on to Level 2 Certificate in Football Coaching (L2CCF)
