Certificate in Infection Control (NCFE)

CERTIFICATE IN INFECTION CONTROL (NCFE) Description
The Intermediate Certificate in Infection Control is a level 2 programme providing a nationally recognised qualification. This course aims to provide candidates with an understanding of key infection control issues, encourage a 'safe practice' culture both for individuals and in the workplace. The candidate will gain an understanding of the meaning and importance of infection control. Infection and infectious diseases, key areas and methods for practising infection control and preventing the spread of infection.

- Introducing infection control
- Infection and infectious diseases
- Preventing the spread of infection
Where a course is aimed towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will enter for the qualification.
Method of Assessment
Assessment is through the completion of activities and workbooks, which are marked and moderated by BCOT prior to certification.
