About this course

No formal qualifications are needed for this course but an interest in plastering will be an advantage. You will have an interview and initial assessment. Following a successful interview and initial assessment results, you will be allocated a place to study the practical and theoretical elements of plastering

City and Guilds Certificate in Construction skills (Plastering) Level 1 and Functional Skills in maths and English at the relevant level.

Course programme

What will I study on the course?

During the course you will develop skills and knowledge in relation to:

- Health and Safety in construction trades

- Plastering a ceiling

- Plastering corners

- Applying plaster to walls

- Using plastering materials to produce moulds

- Working and communicating effectively in construction trades

You will also study maths and English functional skills depending on previous Qualifications

Additional information

The course is delivered over two and a half days per week for 1 Year. This can be changed to suit the learners' circumstances. The main enrolment period for this course is in September but there will also be the opportunity to start the course at other times if places are available.
