Course programme

Course overview This qualification develops the skills and knowledge needed to provide effective support for teachers and pupils as part of learning programmes. It also covers the development of children and young people, working effectively with colleagues, child protection and preparing displays. Throughout this course you are encouraged to study maths and English. In order to progress onto a level 3 course you will need to have achieved maths and/or English at grade c or above Entry requirements You will need a good understanding of English and maths, preferably GCSE grade A-C. If however, you have not attained the GCSE grades, you will be encouraged to arrange to study maths and English alongside the course. You will participate in a face to face interview and initial assessment of numeracy and literacy skills. You will need to provide a clear DBS (this paperwork can be completed at College if necessary). You will be required to find your own work experience placement. To progress onto our level 3 course you will need to have achieved maths and/or English at Grade C or above
