GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths, but also common sense, a good general knowledge, a flair for finding out information and a desire to learn about the travel industry. This course is recommended for first-year Advanced Level Travel and Tourism students.

About the Course
This is a one-year course providing a good insight into the travel industry and travel agency practice, and includes:
* Locational geography of UK, European and world destinations and why people want to go there.
* Package holidays, their elements and costings.
* Transportation: car rental, flight only, surface transport, vehicle carrying services.
* Miscellaneous: the travel industry, accommodation, insurance, passports and visas, legislation, foreign exchange, administration, finance and security.
The course will give you a basic knowledge of travel agency practice, covering all the aspects that a travel agent will need to know. It is a wide-ranging qualification that can be used to gain the knowledge needed for most travel-based jobs. You will use a wide variety of brochures and internet sources from tour operators, travel agents and other providers of holidays or services for tourists.

Fees
No Course Fees for Under 19's. Over 19's must pay, or claim Level 2 or Level 3 Entitlement for FREE courses .
