This course is suitable for those working as a chainsaw operator within their own industry. Our chainsaw courses are designed to give operatives the required qualification to operate a chainsaw safety and legally in the work place. At our Brinsbury campus we deliver specialist training for operatives based in West Sussex, Hampshire, Kent, and Surrey who require training and assessments for any City and Guilds NPTC chainsaw unit.

What you need to know
How will I study?

A mixture of theory and practical to support your training to become a competent operator. Course contents: - Workshop safety awareness - Guide bar, saw chain and power unit maintenance - Re-assembly - Health & safety features - Lubrication and fuelling - Personal protective equipment (PPE) - Starting and pre-cutting checks - Site safety awareness - Cross-cutting and stacking timber
How will I be taught?

Experienced trainers (NPTC accredited) will teach theory and practical and offer a wide range of real life examples drawn from their workplaces.
How will I be assessed?

You will be independently assessed by one of our NPTC approved assessors. We are able to arrange training and assessment at your premises or another site.
