About this course

All trainees must be over 17 years of age and in good health. Persons with certain ailments or on certain medication may not be able to take part in the practical sessions. First Aid qualification recommended.

Assessment
Separate practical assessment with questions (about 2 hours) on a day following the end of the course - the application process normally take between 2 & 4 weeks but can be arranged sooner in some cases.

Manufacturers handbook, maintenance manual, HSE guidelines, Lantra Workbooks, NPTC assessment schedule.

Duration
1 day for experienced users (3 years experience recommended) 2 days for less experienced users

Validity
Valid for up to 5 years then requiring a refresher only with no assessment.

What should I bring to the course?
Under 18`s must be supervised at all times by a suitably qualified person.

Chainsaw helmet, Chainsaw gloves, Steel toe-capped Chainsaw workboots, Chainsaw trousers (Type C). Also Chainsaw in good working order, tools & manual, Fuel / Oil, Felling Lever, First Aid Kit, 2 passport photo`s.(
