Chanel Jacket

Since Chanel first designed the boxy tweed jacket in the 1920’s it has remained a classic investment piece. The Chanel jacket is easy and comfortable to wear as a cardigan. It looks stunning teamed with jeans or a couture skirt, looks good on most body types and will almost indefinitely remain a fashion icon for as long as you can imagine. During this workshop you will learn the couture techniques needed to make a Chanel jacket including how to quilt the lining, attach the sleeve, couture patch pocket and how to sew a chain weighted hem. Traditional Chanel fabrics, Channelisms and applying the trimmings will all be discussed. You will make a half jacket that you can use as a reference for your future projects.
