This Build your own MA (BYOMA) short course develops your understanding of the principles and practices used in character design in the film, television and games industries. You'll develop your own creative and conceptual proficiency, whilst mastering the criteria that enables you to expand those skills beyond the original 2D concepts. You'll have the opportunity to experiment with character design techniques including puppetry and maquette building, allowing you to explore and define the personalities of your characters and to realise them in physical 3D. You'll learn about model sheet creation and devising a character profile.
