UK Charities must prepare their accounts in the format stipulated by law ie. in SORP format. The course covers the main requirements of the FRS SORP 2015 highlighting the changes to the previous SORP 2005. A comprehensive case study will be used as a practical example and illustrations throughout will demonstrate key treatments required by the SORP. Learning outcomes include obtaining a greater understanding of the contents of SORP 2015, the presentation of the trustees’ annual report, the statement of financial activities and how to analyse support costs.
